learning on this project

This project has really come a long way in the relatively short amount of time that I've been working on it. Not sure if this holds true in situations comparing me to others, but it's important to remember that I hadn't used python for a couple of years before this, and only had certain levels of knowledge in a few areas, thanks to having to teach myself the language. I certainly didn't know enough to be working with Django previously, but I'm proud (and glad) to say that it's getting much easier at this point; I think that working on two or three different Django sites at the same time was the way to make sure that each bit of information stuck after I learned it. Repetition, repetition, repetition.

It should, however, be noted that working on this project is not paying my bills at all, and neither is anything else at this point. Unfortunately, that means that I'm desperately searching for unskilled work, as nobody will hire me for anything related to programming in this state due to my lack of a 4 year degree. So my availability to work on this will wax and wane depending on what I need to do to survive as a single parent.

Now that I'm done bragging about my trial & tribulation developing this to the rudimentary state that it's at right now, I'll move on to information you may care about a little bit more, the technical details...
