How to customize your Etherpad Lite installation

If you want to add/remove features to/from the pad interface please look in /static/custom. In this folder you will find template files that are included in the index, pad and timeslider pages. You can add as many files you want into this folder and they will be all ignored by git.

Warning: Do not touch the html/css/js files outside of the custom folder directly. Editing these files will cause merge conflicts when updating the git repo. Obviously if these changes are intentional and you intend to push the changes to git then go ahead but watch out for dragons.
