Technologies Used

• MongoDB: Database for storing user and product information.
• Express.js: Backend framework for building the server and API.
• React: Frontend library for building the user interface.
• Node.js: Runtime environment for server-side JavaScript execution.

Installation

To set up the project locally, follow these steps:

1. Clone the repository:

   git clone https://github.com/dipak-kumawat/YouTube.git

2. Navigate to the project directory:

   cd YouTube

3. Install server dependencies:

   cd server
   npm install

4. Install client dependencies:

   cd ../client
   npm install

5. Set up environment variables: Create a .env file in the server directory and add the following:

   MONGO = mongodb+srv://dipaksk11:[email protected]/?retryWrites=true&w=majority&appName=Youtube
   MONGO_DB = "youtube"
   JWT = "gopikishan"

6. Start the server:

   cd ../server
   npm start

7. Start the client: Open a new terminal window and navigate to the client directory:

   npm start

Usage

• Visit http://localhost:3000 to view the YouTube frontend.
