The experimental (hash-to-curve) feature depends on digest 0.9 which uses generic-array 0.14. Newer versions of generic-array 0.14 have deprecated their own API in favor of 1.x, causing clippy to fail with -D warnings. The hash-to-curve code is upstream zkcrypto and cannot be modified directly.
