Simple fix allowing for posting 280 character tweets. Twitter API already supports it, so the limitation is only in the extension code.

Thanks for the fix. This won't be released until we rewrote the extension though, since Firefox 57 is going to be released tomorrow...

I kinda expected this (although people on Firefox ESR channel, Waterfox, Pale Moon and other Firefox forks could use an interim release until the full rewrite is done).

Does this mean there's Web Extensions version of Echofon-unofficial in the works? What part of Echofon's capabilities will it have compared to the XUL one? Is there a timeline for it being available, except for "when it's done"? :)

Indeed.

There is! You can find it in #71. For now, I don't expect to change anything, just having the same app would be already great. The timeline... I can't give one, but I'd say it should be out when I'm too frustrated by twitter.com after Firefox 57. 😄
