What it does

  • chore: switch to npm
    • update scripts and docs
  • update VS Code to 1.104.0
    • align compile and bundle scripts with updated vscode version
      • add vsce dependency
  • chore: update testing in Theia
    • update testing section in Publishing.md
    • offer a script to copy the built extensions to the theia plugins folder

LGTM!
I could test the builtins 1.104 in my local theia git repo with the theia:testing command, great addition!

Hi again @rschnekenbu,
I overlooked that I need to complete the license reviews before publishing.
While doing that, I fixed a few minor issues in the publishing docs and the archive script, which is why I pushed another commit.

I'll need to wait until the license reviews are done, so the extensions update won’t be part of tomorrow’s release.
As soon as the reviews are complete, I’ll publish on OpenVSX and update the extensions in Theia.
