Meaning of "ey web enable" / "ey web disable"

The meaning of "ey web enable" and "ey web disable" in the "Deploy Your application/ Deploy from the CLI" and the "Deploy Your application/Maintenance pages" sections of the documentation seem to contradict one another. I'm assuming that the behavior described in "Deploy from the CLI" is correct, but in any case the descriptions should be consistent.
