This PR removes the LICENSE files from the package and the + LICENSE file from the License: field in the DESCRIPTION as CC0 is a standard CRAN license. The version number in the DESCRIPTION and NEWS is bumped to the first release version.

The pkgdown GHA is failing due to bad link errors from the favicons. This will likely be fixed once r-lib/pkgdown#2804 is merged and a new version of {pkgdown} is released. I'll merge these changes and address the failing workflow once the updates to {pkgdown} are out.
