Hey there! I am a chemical engineer, software engineer, and solidity developer—a unique blend of scientific disciplines united by a singular passion for solving complex problems through technology. My coding journey started in February of 2023 at ALX Software Engineering School, and it has been an exhilarating experience of exploring innovation. How does a chemical engineer go deep into programming, you may ask? To me, this was a light bulb moment. Software has the potential to be the ultimate superpower for science. Python was my first love and I was enamored by how easy it was to use and how quickly I could see that code could be so powerful to solve complex problems. Through ALX, I have discovered a whole new universe of technologies. That’s Python, C, JavaScript, MySQL, MongoDB — the list goes on — and web frameworks like React, Flask, and Django. But I didn't stop there. I’m exploring the revolutionary blockchain world through Alchemy University and learning Solidity and decentralized technologies. Some of my favorite projects that I have built include a full-stack Airbnb clone, a custom Linux shell that functions like bash, and three e-commerce websites. It was like solving a puzzle for every project, challenging yet immensely fulfilling. What motivates me is the conviction that software is not simply a means to an end, because it is a language of solving problems. I’m a chemical engineer, and I think of programming as a scientific extension of my toolbox. Codes that can potentially change the world, and algorithms that can forge new paths to tackle complexity. This can include optimizing research processes, managing complex data, exploring new computational methods, and everything in between, always pushing the boundaries of what's possible!
