Feedback from the client (31 10 2017)

# I met with out client with week and here's what he suggested:

  • the room aggregating all of the categories should be named Varia, which is a historic name and it should be kept
  • about the footer, you can check the previous version of the system at http://jpks.v-lo.krakow.pl/
  • previously the breaks between the questions were longer (probably around 30 seconds) and the breaks between the questions were taking around 10 seconds. The breaks definitely should be there to cool down the players.
  • there should be two kinds of rooms - either the ones that are connected to certain categories (and one for Varia) and there should be an option to create a room by players. The latter one should always be Varia though.
  • the previous version linked the answer textbox to chat, so whenever you wrote an answer incorrectly, everybody else could see that and this way get an idea of what the correct answer is and steal your points. This is something to consider. If it gets introduced there should also be a way to ban players who misbehave.
  • since the answer to specific question may take around 30 seconds, there should be an option to surrender, so that when nobody knows the answer, people shouldn't be forced to wait for more than half a minute.
  • the notifications shouldn't be displayed in the area that's not strictly connected to the game. Right now the user is sending an answer more or less at the bottom left part of the page and the feedback is displayed at the top right part, which is very far and basically makes you shake your head while playing
  • all the planned changes to gameplay + statistics + ux were appreciated and should be performed.
