I would like this functionality as well. Our agents forward to our log servers, which forwards to Splunk. |

I'm happy to have this functionality though the PR needs to have corresponding unit tests. |

The current release refuses a log server to log remote, which IMO is arbitrary. We want to use this puppet module to achieve exactly this behavior, and this would facilitate that (we've tested this initially and it seems to work)
Please tell me the rationale behind preventing log servers to log remote! It's of course possible that we're not seeing the obvious in this case.
I was thinking of writing something in the README about this, but I wanted @ghoneycutt to comment on this first.
