The dictionary has been prepared by five compilers at different times: Vadim Danilov (part: A–D, J); Svetlana Edygarova-Mantel (E–H, ka–kasvuhoone); Elena Ryabina (I, M–P, Š, Ž, ta–tšehh); Anna Baidullina (R, saabumine–sedamaid) ja Nadezda Pchelovodova (kataloog–küüslauk, L, see–süütama, tsüklon–tüütu, U–Ü, as well as numerous articles in other parts). Due to a lack of a consistent compiling plan the articles may be inconsistent themselves. Nadezda Pchelovodova has in part acted as a final editor.

The vocabulary was compiled from 2007‒2015 in the  Eesti Keele Instituut 'Estonian Language Institute' vocabulary stystem EELex. The EELex consultant is Ülle Viks with technical assistance from Ain Teesalu and Ülle Viks.

The vocabulary compilation has received support from Eesti Hõimurahvaste Programm 'Kindred Peoples Program', Eesti Keele Instituut 'Estonian Language Institute' and the University of Tartu.

[PREPARATION]
The material has subsequently been converted to xml for use in morphologically savvy NDS dictionary by Jack Rueter.
