A logo similar enough to the original, but unmistakably different, with the different gradient, the "CONTRIBUTING" subtext, and a screwdriver instead of glasses. There are a few differences to the original logo, so I also made an updated version of it I could post in the main docs repo if this is approved.
I also tried a brick background, with a missing brick, and the blue robot holding the brick. While this was a really cool concept, it required too much space, since the brick is kinda thick and the background also had to be visible enough to make sense and not look disjointed. I think it's more important that the Godot logo doesn't look tiny, so instead, I went with a screwdriver, since it's a really thin tool (taking very little space in the circle) that communicates the idea of engineering.
Engineering cap was also suggested, but I didn't try it because the top part of the logo is very important to its design and shouldn't be concealed.
