Brandon Davenport (Doerksen & Davenport Inc.)
- Outlined the Hedera WalletConnect Working Group, it's goals and objectives
- Provided a recap on recent activity of the group in regards to "phase 2" of the initiative
- Highlighted key aspects of the initiative and core contributors
- Called upon the group for questions, feedback and input
- Provided an overview of upcoming project milestones
Tyler McDonald (Hgraph)
- Highlighted that Hgraph has completed lot of research regarding core aspects of this integration
- Mentioned that demos have been provided and a browser demo is coming later this month
- Highlighted that lots of feedback from wallets and the community has been received and factored into the development
- Core tenants of this initiative: bringing together multiple contexts in a seamless way with reduced lift for wallet developers (helpers for wallets and dapps). Utilities for serialization of transactions, managing namespaces.
- There is a new demo coming using the library (initial javascript browser demo) with a video walkthrough
- There will be a draft pull request for things under the hood that conform to HIP-820 compliance
- Library is conforming to CAIP standards
- There is quite a bit of lift to implement all of this, and we are celebrating wallets for taking this on
- Identified need for an interim solution for integration before final release is published to hashgraph NPM
- Commits to testing with react native and finding a way to substitute various pieces
Tyler Coté, Patrick Woo-Sam (HashPack)
- They are deep into integration
- In communications with Hgraph
- They are in communications with major dapps regarding the transition to WalletConnect
- Confirmed to a December 1st milestone for integration
- Inquired about the package being published to NPM and ease of integration (Tyler mentioned there are options for stepping stones for implementation before this is pushed to the official NPM)
- Highlighted that including wrappers into the repository would be beneficial
Adrián Marín (Kabila)
- They are deep into integrations
- They are talking with many dapps on Hedera
- They are preparing a new commit with a demo on react
- They will be submitting new PRs regarding wrappers
- Confirmed to a December 1st milestone for integration
Valera Olexienko (Blade)
- Provided feedback to Hgraph regarding concerns and they have been discussed
- They are planning to integrate as soon as possible
- Commits to a December 1st timeline
Jason Fabritz (Calaxy)
- Thrilled to be a part of the initiative
- Looking to improve their user experience
- Looking forward to integrating into Calaxy
- No specific timeline at this time
- Expressed gratitude to all contributors of HIP-820
- HIP-820 will be in the official review phase for another month
- Highlighted that no major issues have been identified recently
Raj Singaravelu (Dropp)
- They are happy there is a community driven effort
- Dropp had previously implemented WalletConnect support
- They look to rewire their implementation for this standard
- Dragonglass launched an NFT explorer and integrating all wallets and marketplaces
- Asked questions in regards to standardization for user experience (UI, messages etc)
Rob Kainz, Jeremy Fletcher (Wallawallet)
- They are implementing and working through issues
- Relayed concerns regarding javascript and how it supports react (they use Golang)
- Identified an issue with determining and removing pairings as it relates to the WalletConnect API
Greg Scullard, Ashe Oro (Swirlds Labs)
- While they work with Hgraph and Doerksen & Davenport Inc. behind the scenes, they stress this is a community initiative with wallets in control.
- Highlighted that the end winners of this initiative will be users and dapps
- Appreciated to see that the milestones and project are public and transparent
