I notice that this commit removes 41k loc. 41k is waaay to much for what this backend is supposed to do. This is going to be unmaintainable. A reasonable loc count for something like this is like 4k - but even that is with tests and etc. Bare business logic code should be in the ballpark of 800-900 loc, including the DB layer. My recommendation is start the backend over from scratch.
