What's New:

- FireFly has moved to its own `hyperledger-firefly` GitHub organization
- All repositories now live under https://github.com/hyperledger-firefly
- All container images are now published under `ghcr.io/hyperledger-firefly/*` (see migration consideration below)
- All Go-based components upgraded to Go 1.26
- New transaction submission and management APIs in the FireFly Transaction Manager, the library to build new connectors, adopted in EVMConnect
- New `POST /submit` API supporting batching of multiple transaction submissions into a single request
- New `PATCH /transactions/{transactionId}` API to update an in-flight transaction
- Transaction receipts are now returned as part of the confirmation response
- New lightweight block-tracking mode in the connector framework — implemented in EVMConnect
- Allows connectors to track block progression and confirmations without maintaining a full in-memory canonical chain, reducing resource usage
- Improved error reporting for smart contract reverts, with decoding of nested error strings when a Solidity contract catches and rethrows an error
- Large number of improvements to the FireFly common libraries, used to bootstrap new plugins and features of FireFly
- Cardano connector maintenance updates, including security fixes and an increased request body limit for large transactions and contract deployments
- New networking metrics and IP/server configuration options in the common HTTP/TLS/DNS layers used across all FireFly runtimes
- Miscellaneous bug fixes and minor improvements across all components
- CVE fixes across the board

### Migration consideration

As part of the move to the `hyperledger-firefly` GitHub organization, container images should now be pulled from `ghcr.io/hyperledger-firefly/*` — images under the previous `ghcr.io/hyperledger/firefly-*` locations will not receive further updates. Projects that consume FireFly Go modules must also update their import paths from `github.com/hyperledger/firefly-*` to `github.com/hyperledger-firefly/*` when upgrading to the latest module versions.
