The first publish workflow run correctly stopped before push because the non-root container output is intentionally unreadable to the host runner user.
This changes only the release verification harness: golden bytes are compared inside the same non-root container with the expected output mounted read-only, matching the already-green docker-smoke gate.
No image was published by the failed run. No product or frozen-contract changes.
