Game specific Network Details
Each Rock Band game uses a different port and access key to connect to its master server. Here is a list for the games that have been looked at so far. It should be noted that the secure port is defined by the server itself - the game will accept any secure port when it receives the station URL for the secure server, but the standard Harmonix uses is 1 higher than the authentication port.
Older games that aren't Rock Band 3 use an older version of the protocol.
- RC4 Key: CD&ML
The RC4 key is used to encrypt and decrypt the payload of data packets. It is unknown what CD or ML stand for (likely Carl Dionne and Martin Lavoie, the co-founders of Quazal Technologies) but this same key is used in virtually all games utilizing Quazal Rendez-Vous.
