Total prcipitation has different underlying statistical properties as many other variables. Similar to the downscaling task, an evaluation pipeline for this particular variable should be made available.

Add a corresponding script to the forecast-directory.

A more variable-agnostic and flexible evaluation pipeline allowing a full configuration of evaluation parameters (e.g. metrics for evaluation) could be implemented, but would require substantial engineering.
