Mixing 'x' and 'w' descriptors in srcset leads to a miasma of confusion. Everyone seems to advise against it. The 'w' syntax is the way to go for flexible width images, even though it's only in blink. 'x' is really only for resolution switching with fixed images, and CB already has that covered.
There's some random cleanup in there too. Hope this is clear.
