Description

This PR executes a massive strategic feature expansion by engineering a highly interactive, drag-and-drop 2D "Room Planner", designed to completely eradicate spatial anxiety and build extreme purchase confidence for high-ticket furniture items.

Changes Made

  • Canvas Architecture: Engineered a highly performant, interactive <RoomPlanner /> React component, accessible from the primary navigation and individual Product Display Pages (PDPs). The core rendering engine leverages a robust HTML5 Canvas library (e.g., react-dnd or konva).
  • Dimensional Scaling Engine: Implemented a complex input mechanism allowing users to define their exact physical room dimensions (e.g., 15ft x 20ft). The component instantly recalculates the internal canvas coordinate system, ensuring absolute mathematical accuracy of the rendered grid.
  • SVG Library Integration: Upgraded the global product catalog payload. High-ticket items (sofas, tables, rugs) now expose a dedicated, top-down 2D SVG representation.
  • Drag-and-Drop Interaction: Users can browse a sidebar catalog and drag these SVGs directly onto the scaled canvas grid.
  • Spatial Manipulation: Engineered advanced manipulation controls, allowing users to rotate the furniture items 360 degrees and effortlessly snap them to the perimeter walls of their customized grid.

Impact

  • Conversion Velocity & Return Reduction: Buying premium furniture (like a $4,000 sectional sofa) online is an incredibly stressful transaction because the customer constantly worries: "Will this physically fit in my living room?" This spatial anxiety is the primary driver of cart abandonment and disastrous, expensive reverse-logistics returns. By engineering this interactive room planner, we empower the customer to mathematically prove the furniture fits perfectly alongside their existing layout before they enter their credit card. This completely eradicates purchasing hesitation, builds absolute confidence in the transaction, and definitively protects our margins from wrong-size returns.
