Summary of Changes
This pull request (PR) reverts PR #45515 .
That does not mean that is shall be thrown away.
But if we don't get it fixed in time with PR #46073 , we might have to revert it for 6.0 and use it for a later version.
As long as that's not clear I will leave this PR here in draft status.
