👋 Jordan I Johnson

Enterprise Application Administration | IT Operations | Business Systems | Higher Education Technology

I am an information technology and project-management professional with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and a Master of Science in Information Technology Management. My experience has combined internal software and technology responsibility at Modern Construction with technical operations, process improvement, documentation, leadership, and service at Salt Lake Community College. In April 2026, SLCC recognized my leadership with the Outstanding Leadership Award.

I am building toward a career in enterprise application administration and business systems support, with a focus on reliable applications, secure integrations, clear documentation, effective change management, and technology that improves the experience of students, faculty, and staff.

🎯 Career Focus

I am developing practical, hands-on experience in:

  • Enterprise application installation, configuration, maintenance, and support
  • Application monitoring, incident response, troubleshooting, and service restoration
  • SQL databases, data validation, reporting, and backup and recovery concepts
  • REST APIs, system integrations, JSON, CSV, and flat-file workflows
  • Linux and Windows server administration
  • Identity and access management, role-based permissions, SSO, MFA, and TLS
  • Application testing, upgrades, release planning, change control, and rollback
  • Technical documentation, administrator runbooks, standard operating procedures, and diagrams
  • ERP, CRM, BPM, field-service, and customer-service platforms
  • IT project management, governance, risk management, and stakeholder communication

My current technical abilities are intermediate and growing rapidly through structured labs, portfolio projects, graduate study, and continuous practice.

💼 What I Bring

Internal Technology and Project Management

At Modern Construction, where I continue to work part time as a Project Manager, I serve as the company’s primary internal technology resource. I manage internal software and technology needs, gather and compare subcontractor bids for technology and electrical components, and coordinate those project scopes from planning through completion.

Higher Education Operations and Service

Through my work at Salt Lake Community College, I have led specialized Sign Shop operations involving design, RIP, and CAM applications, CNC equipment, printers, laser systems, file workflows, work orders, documentation, vendor escalation, and cross-campus project coordination. I focus on clear communication and a safe, welcoming, accessible, and inclusive community college experience.

Leadership and Collaboration

As Chair of Staff Development, I supported employee learning, engagement, appreciation, and professional growth. I worked with people across different roles and backgrounds and focused on making institutional opportunities easier to understand and access.

Project and Operations Mindset

I approached work with a project-management perspective by clarifying requirements, organizing priorities, documenting decisions, communicating with stakeholders, identifying risks, coordinating resources, and following work through completion.

Technical Curiosity

I enjoy learning how systems work, identifying where processes break down, and developing practical solutions that connect technology, operations, and customer needs.

🏗️ Featured Enterprise Technology Work

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Facilities Service Management Solution

Graduate Capstone | Academic Enterprise Application Project

I designed a proposed cloud-based solution using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Service for a fictional multi-campus educational institution.

The solution addressed fragmented spreadsheets, email-based communication, paper notes, disconnected work-order processes, and limited operational visibility.

Key areas included:

  • Centralized service-request and work-order management
  • Staff assignment, scheduling, and resource coordination
  • Customer-service case management and communication workflows
  • Role-based access and user responsibilities
  • Business-process and workflow configuration
  • Requirements analysis and process mapping
  • Reporting dashboards and performance measurements
  • Testing scenarios and phased deployment planning
  • Cost, risk, training, support, and governance considerations
  • Metrics for response time, completion time, staff utilization, service visibility, and customer satisfaction

This was an academic solution-design project and was not represented as a production deployment at SLCC.

🚀 Enterprise Application Portfolio

I am building portfolio projects that demonstrate the responsibilities of an enterprise application administrator in safe, documented lab environments.

Planned evidence:

  • Availability and response-time checks
  • Application and server logs
  • Alert conditions
  • Incident timeline and root-cause analysis
  • Service-restoration steps
  • Corrective and preventive actions
