python manage.py npm_cli install bootstrap@4 -PAlong with the above capability it is also possible to run the interactive mode
python manage.py npm_cli init(to create package.json)Unfortunately these changes required renaming the command
npm_cliThe default functionality has been preserved and executing the command maintains the default behavior:
python manage.py npm_cli100% of tests passing, both in linux and windows.
