video-chat-webrtc

This is a simple implementation of WebRTC technology for video and audio call. The repo comes with a naive signalling server created using nodejs socket.io library.

Steps to install

• Clone this repository

git clone https://github.com/kishore-devaraj/video-chat-webrtc

• Install node & npm

Install the node & npm from its official sites.

• Install nodemon

npm install -g nodemon

• Install the dev dependencies

cd project_dir/ npm install

• Start the signalling server and serve the html page along with it

npm start

Guidelines && Known Issues

• Chrome latest version requires ssl for webrtc to work.
• Use Firefox to test the video chat in the LAN environment.
