This is essentially a way to replace /usr{/local,}/share with a
different path (or paths).
I.e. ~/.local/share, the user-specific alternative to /usr/share. Note that we only check ~/.local/share/games/doom, and not ~/.local/share/doom. Other ports which support this (namely chocolate-doom and GZDoom) also work like that.

In particular, WADs can now be placed in
~/.local/share/games/doom.Unrelated, but #425 will have to do something similar with XDG_CONFIG_HOME and XDG_CONFIG_DIRS for config files.
