Pqs started in early 2003. At the time, I was working on an application that required a lot of physical quantities and was finding it increasingly time consuming keeping track of the units. Here is the documentation for pqs-1-00-00 dated November 2003 !

pqs-1-00-00 still runs OK ! ( at least in g++, but used to work ok with visual c++ 7.1).

You can download the original code as a zip here. . Download the zip, extract it, head to the examples folder and type g++ orig-demo.cpp.

If all goes well ls the directory and you should see an executable called a.out which you can run by calling ./.a.out
