The London Git User Group began in January 2018 after a successful hackathon aimed at bringing new contributors to the git and libgit2 projects. After the hackathon, we realized that we had many contributors to the core git project, related open source projects, and companies using git in and around London.
The London Git User Group is now online - it's a virtual meetup of people who are passionate about Git and version control, whether that means using Git to empower their development, developing the git version control system itself, or helping others use Git. This new virtual format allows us to become a more international group - we meet in the evening (18:30 London time) at the last Tuesday of the month, which we hope allows more of our friends around the world to join.
