Song of the Day Podcast Catcher

Automatically add The Current's, KEXP's, and KCRW's song of the day to Spotify playlist

Spotify Playlist can be found here

Use

• Rename /conf/configure.rb.sample to /conf/configure.rb

• Add your client ID, Secret, and destination playlist ID inside /conf/configure.rb

• Start the sinatra server by running ruby app.rb from the root directory

• Open http://localhost:4567 in your web browser and log in

• Click on New Songs to add any new songs to your playlist. Information is displayed in the terminal window.

Add historic songs to new playlist

Run ./lib/get-historic-[station].rb to generate list of previous SOTD tracks (list stored in ./data/)

then run ./lib/add-historic-[station].rb to add files from specific station to Spotify playlist or run ./lib/add-historic-all.rb to add files from all three stations. Any songs not found are stored in ./log/historic-[station]-songs-not-found.log
