Installing HAX differs a great deal depeneding upon what operating system you are using. If you are using a modern version of Linux or Mac OS X, you can follow these instructions simply by opening a terminal window. If you are using Windows, you should install [[Cygwin|http://www.cygwin.com/]] and pretend you are using Linux for the remainder of the installation instructions. If you are a Linux guru and want to jump straight to the list of dependencies, consult the below table. Otherwise, select the [[Cortex|Installation: Cortex]] and/or the [[PIC|Installation: PIC]] installation instructions for your architecture(s) of choice.
