Go the Mollie extension for Magento 2 on the Marketplace

The Magento Marketplace, where Magento® 2 and third-party component Composer packages are stored, requires authentication.

To provide secure authentication, it's possibtle to generate a pair 32-¬¬character authentication token that you can use to access the right package. You generate, access, and can also delete or regenerate your keys using Magento® Marketplace.

Step 1. Get The Authentication Keys

  1. Go to Magento® Marketplace.

  2. Click Sign In and enter your login credentials. If you don’t have a free account, click Create an Account.

  3. After you log in, click My Access Keys.

  4. Get your secure access keys on Magento® Marketplace

  5. If you already have keys, use the Public Key as your user name and the Private Key as your password.

  6. To create a new key pair, click Create a New Access Key.

  7. When prompted, enter a descriptive name to identify the key pair.

  8. Click Generate New. Use the Public key as your user name and the Private key as your password.

Step 2. Use The Authentication Keys

  1. Find the Extension Menu To install a new extension, you will need to access your admin dashboard and navigate to System > Web Setup Wizard.

  2. Choose the Component Manager out of the 3 options. Then in the upper-right corner of the Magento Marketplace Account section, click Sign In.

  3. Enter the Public and Private Keys When prompted, paste the Public Access Key and Private Access Key from your Marketplace account. You can switch between the two open windows to copy and paste each key. Then, tap Sign In.

  4. Start a Readiness Check. The First Step is the Readiness Check which will check if your Magento 2 installation has all of the necessary components required for the extension installation. Click on the Start Readiness Check button. When the check is completed and your installation covers all of the requirements, you can proceed the installation by clicking the Next button. If you have a component marked as red, you will be able to check how to fix the issues with it by clicking on the link below the error, it links to the Magento 2 documentation on how you can fix the issue.

  5. Backup your Store Data This step involves creating a Backup on your Store. We have recommended you to do this at the start of this tutorial as sometimes the integrated Magento Backup system will not create a proper backup of your data which is something you want to avoid at all costs. You can de-select the backup options if you don't want to make a backup.

  6. Install the Mollie Payments Extension In the last step, you will see again the Mollie Payment extension that you want to install. Click on the Install button to continue. Once the installation has been completed, you will receive a confirmation and the ability to go back by clicking on the Back to Setup Tool button.

  7. Configure the Mollie Payments Extension Go to your Magento® admin portal, to ‘Stores’ > ‘Configuration’ > ‘Sales’ > ‘Payment Methods’ > ‘Mollie Payments’. Select ‘General’.
