On PR #8555, and per ticket #8455 - I thought it made sense to rename the existing class MONDO:0100036 ‘variable age onset epilepsy’ to ‘variable age onset epilepsy syndrome’. But I realized later that MONDO:0100036 ‘variable age onset epilepsy’ is equivalent to DOID:0050706 'variable age at onset electroclinical syndrome'. We decided to obsolete the 'electroclinical syndrome' terms (see #8561 and #8450). I think we should create a new class for 'variable-age onset epilepsy syndrome' and tag MONDO:0100036 ‘variable age onset epilepsy’ for obsoletion.
