Agent information

Existing agent: Behavioral Nudge Engine
File: product/product-behavioral-nudge-engine.md

Motivation

With no pending tasks, the standard profile dereferences pendingTasks[0].title and throws; an overwhelmed profile still asks the user to begin nonexistent follow-up work.

Change

Return null before either profile branch and explicitly tell callers to skip delivery for null.

Testing

5 native Node tests pass; unchanged source fails both empty-task cases. Existing standard, overwhelmed and self-disclosed ADHD profile messages remain intact for actual tasks.

Changed-agent lint passes and full 282-agent conversion across 15 tools passes all 32 checks on this signed head. Expected content checksum drift is advisory; no generated output or manifest update is included.

Scope and limitations

This only corrects the empty-work contract. Existing third-party #759 addresses sensitive-attribute consent and engagement framing; its proposed branch and wording are preserved by this independent early return.

One existing agent file changes; personality, structure and unrelated examples remain intact. Candidate listed in issue #917 before publication. Investigation and patch preparation were AI-assisted; native reproductions were executed and the exact source was independently reviewed.
