Patch notes

General Changes

  • Players need a melee or throwing weapon in their loadout to spawn @namidaka
  • Implemented retry mechanism in reward server to combat errors when rewarding players

DTV

  • Base reward increased by 15%
  • Reward scaling reduced from 2% per person to 1.25% per person (up to 10 people) then by 0.35% per person afterwards.
  • Bosses now only take 5% damage from ballista projectiles

Patch notes

General Changes

  • Bannercode limit increased to 800 characters or 18 icons (whichever is greater) - icon rotation is not currently working
  • Score is awarded to allies within a proximity around your character at a rate of 0.15x. Radius is same as flag capture range
  • Map rotation now starts from a random location (when server is first launched)
  • Mounted bots have been removed from the battle & conquest bot rosters
  • Launcher UI has been updated to emphasise the importance of launching cRPG
  • Added singleplayer module for mappers

Conquest

  • Added Darkwood, Bebbanburg, The White City, and Fjallborn conquest maps. @rf-l & Asda
  • Flag capture has been reworked to consider number of teammates around the flag rather than distance from flag. Defenders will have advantage if numbers are equal. Capture speed scales with number of players capturing. @Muparadzi & @namidaka
  • Valour has been enabled for attackers in battle. Calculated when multiplier adjustments are made
  • Players are awarded score for progressing the capture or capturing flags
  • Score from siege weapons has been reduced by 80%

Battle

  • Battle flag spawning has been reworked.
    • Flag spawns in after 90 seconds (or 33% of any team are remaining)
    • Flag is locked for 45 seconds (30 seconds if spawned early) before it can be captured
    • Morale gains after the flag is captured have ~tripled

DTV

  • Rewards scaled to better compensate players' for their time.
  • Increased reward at later rounds dramatically.
  • Ranged damage vs. bots increased significantly
    • Crossbow 2.5x
    • Throwing weapons 2.0x
    • Bow 1.5x

  • Attacker spawns in the last stage nerfed + 2 low HP barricades added to prevent attackers just rushing G
  • Defender spawns in 2nd stage nerfed
  • Low amount of throwables added on top of tower where flag B is located
  • Several visual glitches fixed, all torches in the castle dungeon (except for one) should now be lit
  • Destroyed siege tower added next to the walls so defenders can jump down and defend flag A (A flag moved closer)

Launcher

  • Launcher now downloads several chunks of the same file and reassemble them
  • Maps are downloaded in dynamic batches of 20
  • All of this result in a a bandwidth usage bump from 10% -> 100% of my 1 gig fiber optic cable. It also maxed out Lemon 300mbit/s fiber optics
  • Meow separated the 4 assets files into 42 assets files. Which means after this update , item patches will result in 200 mB patches insteads of 4.4 gB. Please thank meow as the process was horrible (he had to separate the assets into 42 separate modules :( )

Crafted 3 low tier & short variants of existing polearms to fill gaps in polearm roster at T6 and below. Should provide cheap options for newer players & sidearms for cav.

Increase of Polehammer to T9.8 to give a better spread of blunt/pierce polearms.

Long Thamaskene Tipped Spear adjusted to be a more swing-focused spear that encourages putting away shield to fight with to maximise the quite nice swing damage. Created following the General Longform on the Discord, providing a long and damaging polearm that should feel good to fight with.

Thamaskene chosen because the current swing values are largely a waste of budget and other 4D spears occupy the same "space".

New and improved by not going over T10!
