Hi @larissapoghosyan, this is a nice application. I've added a few comments. I would specifically address the plan for 2D data support, and exposing the new functionality in brainmapper. After that, I think you're good to go ahead and submit.

Hi, can you please provide feedback on my GSoC application?
My initial PR brainglobe/cellfinder#495 includes more detailed references to codebases and related work, which I couldn’t include in my application due to page limitations. The referenced PR also includes my ViT implementation, which is functional although there is still significant work ahead, including full-scale training, comparison with baselines, performance testing, quality checks, and documentation.
