Several improvements:

  • asks the user if it ok to install in $HOME/opt/spm12
  • goes back to the directory from where the script was called (rather than stay in $HOME/opt/spm12)
  • proposes to set environment variables SPM_DIR and SPM_MCR in .profile rather than .bashrc
