global_2D_current.py contains the main routine for calculating lateral thaw rates using two-tile soil temperatures and moistures output from JULES. global_lat_thaw_parm_mod.py contains subroutines for global_2D_current.py and is where default parameters are set. parm_options_mod.py is for setting multiple combinations of parameters, which override the default parameters. This code can be run on JASMIN using the rose suite in the rose-suite folder.
Using the output from the 2D lateral thaw code, calc_fragmentation_v3.py calculates a changing peat plateau fraction. Different options are available for the initial fraction of peat plateau.
