The
.claudedirectory in this dotfiles repository is intended to be symlinked to~/.claudefor global Claude Code configuration. However, having it named.claudecauses Claude Code to recognize it as project-specific settings when working within this repository.By removing the dot prefix, Claude Code will no longer treat it as project configuration, while the symlink (
~/.claude -> ~/dotfiles/claude) will still work correctly.
