In the attached zip file you will find the design for a platform to fix the base plates to, for additional stability and to make it easier to carry a setup around. The platform consists of 3 MDF layers that need to be glued together. I had them laser-cut from MDF of 2, 4, and 6 mm respectively (see svg file). First glue the bottom two layers, then place the nuts in the slots, then glue the top layer to keep the nuts in place. I used hex nuts M5 DIN 934 in the platform itself and hex socket head cap screws 5x8 mm DIN 912 to fix the base plates to the platform.

The zip file also contains a magnet placement addon to cap a phillips screwdriver. With it you can pick up the 5mm diameter spherical magnets you need to connect the modules. Use a rubber mallet to gently tap the magnets in place. The magnetic field will be automatically oriented perpendicular to the printed UC2 base-plates and connectors. Also included are a couple of photos of the parts and assembly process.

Hey @J4n-M44rt3n thanks a lot for this very nice and useful contribution! May I ask you how you cut the the parts? Do you have a laser cutter "at hand" ;-)
I also like the tool for the magnets! Muuch better than the press-fitting routine we have right now.
Do you think it makes sense to add the new parts in this repo or should we open a new one in our organization? We are about to rename it into openUC2, then everything is a bit closer together.

Thanks a lot!
