The is to enable blacklists in the mdns-repeater. Separate PR for the corresponding plugin is on its way. Some newer access points do also have an mdns-repeater installed causing exponential growing replicates. Preferred solution would be to disable the multicast relay on access-points - however this might not ever happen.
The packet cannot be filtered by rule setting in opnsense. See also this discussion:
