These two visualizations of the flowfield only work after installing vtk. I used a version of vtk that was availabe through the conda package manager:
$ conda install -c clinicalgraphics vtk
I also added a file that has two functions which can be used to translate .vti to a pandas dataframe and back. The .vti files are around 40% smaller than the identical .vtk files.
It might be nicer to put these on a branch since they require the vtk library upon which the rest of your tools are not available.
