This is merely a cosmetic change to allow users to see the current download rate. Additionally this PR contains a few minor formatting changes as well as added support for the outdated PyPI package.
Note that outputs to stdout are suppressed in a very extreme manner. This could be avoided by updating the PyPI package.
The usage of fstrings bumps the minimum python version up to 3.6, implying that support for debian 9 and RPi is no longer given.
