Preferences
The Preferences dialog is invoked via Edit -> Preferences menu. It consists of two pages: Input and Color picker.
This page defines mouse buttons which are used for different actions.
- Select color with: mouse button to use to select color from color widgets. This affects color selector, color swatches, palette, and scratchpad. Default is Left button.
- Clear color swatch with: mouse button to remove color currently selected in the widget. This affects color swatches and scratchpad widget. Default is Right button.
- Toggle mark on palette slot: mouse button to mark palette slot as user defined / automatically generated. This affects only palette widget. Default is Right button.
- Show context menu on: mouse button to invoke context menu on color widget. This affects color swatches, palette, and scratchpad. Default is Disable.
This page defines behavior of Color picker tool.
- Picker area size: defines size of (square) area under cursor from which color is picked. Available are values from 1 (1x1 px) to 15 (15x15 px). Default is 9 (9x9 px).
- Average color while mouse dragging: if checked, then selected color will be averaged from all areas which mouse cursor passed with mouse button held. If not checked, then color will be picked only from area which is currently under mouse cursor.
