Since I know nothing about the input device I had a question about some instructions. I think it might be helpful to adjust to help input device noobs like me.

doc/march_packages/march_input_device.rst Outdated
sudo usermod -a -G tty <your_username>
sudo usermod -a -G dialout <your_username>

Now log out and log back in, the error should be resolved.

These instructions have nothing to do with the input device, only Ubuntu.
