Learn about vigilant mode.
  • Append messages from a Maildir directory to an IMAP mailbox.
  • Parse message headers for IMAP Date and Labels and use them when appending.
    • So that messages show up in the mailbox with their correct timestamp rather than being added with the NOW timestamp.
  • Use proper logging, enable logging to file with timestamp for start and end of migration.
