Angular2-Coding-Challenge

This project was generated with angular-cli version 1.0.0-beta.15. This coding challenge is a part of Berkadia's Intern program. Note: This is no longer supported (since December 2016).

A brief description

This Angular2 project has 5 components explained below. It also uses Bootstrap, CSS Framework.

1. Main App Component

This includes navigation pane and a router outlet which contains data. Router links are used to navigate to other pages.

2. Home Component

This includes an image, brief description, interests and projects list.

3. Movie Component

This includes details of a movie fetched via API from 'http://www.themoviedb.org'

4. High/Low Card Component

This shows a card game where cards are fetched via API from 'http://deckofcardsapi.com'

5. Joke Component

This has an input field and button, where user enter the number of jokes he wants to see. The jokes are fetched via API from 'http://www.icndb.com/api/'

Development server

Run ng serve for a dev server. Navigate to http://localhost:4200/. The app will automatically reload if you change any of the source files.

Code scaffolding

Run ng generate component component-name to generate a new component. You can also use ng generate directive/pipe/service/route/class.

Build

Run ng build to build the project. The build artifacts will be stored in the dist/ directory. Use the -prod flag for a production build.

Running unit tests

Run ng test to execute the unit tests via Karma.

Running end-to-end tests

Run ng e2e to execute the end-to-end tests via Protractor. Before running the tests make sure you are serving the app via ng serve.

Deploying to Github Pages

Run ng github-pages:deploy to deploy to Github Pages.
