Companies deploying customer segmentation assume that each customer has different requirements that require specific marketing efforts to properly address them. Companies aim for a deeper approach to the customers they target. Therefore, their goals must be clear and should be tailored to each client's needs. Moreover, through the collected data, companies can gain a deeper understanding of customer preferences and discover the needs of valuable segments to allow them to maximize their profits. In this way, they can formulate marketing strategies more effectively and minimize investment risks. The technique of customer segmentation depends on several key differentiators that divide customers into target groups. Data pertaining to demographics, geography, economic conditions, as well as behavioral patterns play a vital role in determining the direction companies should take to tackle the various market segments.
