This is the home of RW Penney's fork of the GPS Toolkit originally created by the University of Texas at Austin (www.gpstk.org).

The objectives of this fork are to support the evolution of the upstream project in the following areas:

  • Improved code cleanliness
  • More unified and portable build system
  • Improved documentation, especially of subtleties
  • Improved flexibility guided by the needs of certain ionospheric applications
  • Extensions to numerical and signal-processing routines.

Since starting the fork in mid-July 2014, many compiler warnings have been eliminated, a number of core classes now have more intuitive const-correct accessor methods, and various remnants from earlier stages of development (e.g. Subversion keywords, temporary variables) have been removed.
