+
+## 🎯 The Issue Was
+
+When you created a Clerk account and tried to sign in, the system was stuck because:
+1. The `page.tsx` file in `/src/app/[[...sign-in]]/` is an optional catch-all route that captures all paths
+2. Creating a separate `/src/app/page.tsx` conflicted with this catch-all route
+3. The sign-in redirect logic needed improvement
+
+## ✅ **What Was Fixed**
+
+### 1. **Removed Route Conflict**
+- Deleted `/src/app/page.tsx` (was causing route conflict)
+- Now `/` correctly routes through `[[...sign-in]]/page.tsx`
+
+### 2. **Improved Sign-In Logic**
+The sign-in page now properly:
+- ✅ Detects if you're **already signed in**
+- ✅ If you have a **role**, redirects to your **dashboard** (`/admin`, `/teacher`, etc.)
+- ✅ If you **don't have a role**, redirects to **`/setup`**
+- ✅ If you're **not signed in**, shows the **sign-in form**
+
+### 3. **Perfect Flow**
