ExpressDelivery is an On Demand Delivery System that offers a seamless and efficient way to manage deliveries through its Super Admin, Customer Web App, and Deliverables Web App. This repository contains the source code for the system, developed using a range of technologies including HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, Python, Django, and various REST API integrations such as Stripe for payment processing.

To run the ExpressDelivery system on your local machine, follow these steps:

Clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/sampatkalyan/ExpressDelivery.git

Navigate to the project directory:
cd ExpressDelivery

Install the required dependencies. It's recommended to set up a virtual environment before installing the dependencies:
pip install -r requirements.txt

Configure the database settings in
settings.py
according to your preferred database (default is set to PostgreSQL). -
Apply migrations to create the necessary database tables:
python manage.py makemigrations python manage.py migrate

Create a superuser account for accessing the admin dashboard:
python manage.py createsuperuser

Start the development server:
python manage.py runserver

Access the application in your web browser at
http://localhost:8000/

The system is integrated with various APIs, including Stripe for payment processing. To use these APIs, you will need to sign up for developer accounts and obtain API keys. Update the relevant configuration files with your API keys.
For deploying the ExpressDelivery system in a production environment, you can consider using Docker for containerization and choose a cloud provider such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Configure the production settings in settings.py
and follow best practices for security and scalability.
